Julia Etta Church Poore was born in Winterset, Iowa on March 7, 1863 and died at Hastings, Neb. June 5th aged 46 years 2 months and 28 days. She lived at the place of her birth until she was 19 years of age when she moved with her parents to Seward County, Neb. which was her home until 1888 when she took up her residence in Adams county, first at Donipan (sic) and then at Hastings.

The deceased was married to Wm. Poore of Seward on Sept. 22, 1881. He still lives to mourn her death. To this union were born 5 children. Four of them, Mrs. Myrta Burr, Fred, Glenn and Leonard Poore all of Hasting, are living and lamenting the death of an affectionate and painstaking mother.

Stella who died in early childhood now awaits her mother on the other shore. Besides her aged mother Mary J. Church, of Bee, Neb. four brothers, Henry, Granville and Charles Church of Oklahoma and Harry of Neb. and two half brothers Manson Richmond of Ok. and Cashes (Cassius) Richmond of Doniphan, Neb. Her father died several years ago. She became a member of the Christian Church at 16 years of age.
