Dr. Carver received the sad intelligence on Wednesday of the death of Mae, the youngest daughter of his sister, Mrs. Anna Craven of St. Paul. The announcement was a shock to him and the many friends of the family in Madison county.

The body was brought to Peru, accompanied by the mother and daughter, Olive and two sons, Earl and Carl, where they were met by relatives and friends, who went with them to Ebenezer cemetery, where after a short service by Rev. Brewer, all that was mortal of the beloved daughter and sister was laid to rest beside her father, Lute Craven.

Home will be lonely to the widowed mother, when she returns. The sons left on the same evening for their respective homes in Chicago and St. Paul. The daughter left on Friday and Mrs. Craven stayed a few days with her brothers and old time friends.
