GARY L. HOLTMYER

Gary L. Holtmyer was born in Des Moines January 11, 1950, a son of Charles E. and Dorothy Boyd Holtmyer, but his life had been lived in Madison county. He was 16 years of age when his death occurred Tuesday, August 9, 1966, in Lincoln Township.

He would have been a member of the junior class this fall at Winterset High school, where he sang in the chorus and played baseketball. He was a member of the Webster Methodist church.

Gary is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Holtmyer of Winterset; a sister, Connie, at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Holtmyer of Greenfield and Raymond Boyd of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Friday from the First Methodist church in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Milton Haedt. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Note: Cause of death: Automobile accident
