Mr. John Stiffler, of this city, died last Friday morning at 2:30 o’clock, and was buried Saturday in the Winterset cemetery, Rev. Richards preaching the funeral sermon. Mr. Stiffler was in his 90th year when death overtook him.

He was a gentleman much respected in this community, and up to within a very few days before death was vigorous and apparently well. He was a native of Pennsylvania, but had lived in this county about forty years. He was a consistent member of the Seventh Day Advent church. He was the father of 13 children. His wife proceeded him to the grave six months.
