Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 29, at the Fisher Funeral Home in Adel for Frank Housh, 72. Frank Monaco conducted funeral services. Burial was at Minburn.
Mr. Housh farmed east of Earlham some years ago, when he operated the Campbell farm. He also served as Earlham town marshal.
Mr. Housh died at the Veterans hospital Sunday, in Des Moines, following surgery.
He is survived by his wife, three children, Betty, Harry and Robert who live in Illinois; seven step-children: Elsie Blauth and Edith Thompson, Minburn; Marie Dawson, Madrid; Bessie Smith, Earlham; Louise Erwin, Granger; Pauline Benton, Dallas Center; and Carl Schnebly, Newman, Illinois; a brother, Harry Housh of California; a sister, Mary Dreasher, Decatur, Ill.; a half-brother, Raymond Housh; a half-sister, Mrs. Fred Huffman; and a step-brother, Dick McCleary.
Mr. Housh was a lover of the outdoors, and he and Mrs. Housh enjoyed camping and outdoor living for as long as the season permitted.
He will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends for he was a friend to all who knew him.
