Obituary

Lillie Elsbury McRae, formerly of Earlham, passed away in the hospital at Wichita Falls, Texas, on January 6, 1966, after an illness of several years. She had lived in Texas 43 years.

Mrs. McRae was born near Earlham on April 12, 1891, the daughter of Dollie Hester Wicks and Frank M. Elsbury.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, at Hampton-Vaughan Chapel in Wichita Falls with Rev. Lem Titsworth of Trinity Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls.

One daughter, Rose Day, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Lester; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Shelton of Hobbs, New Mexico; a sister, Mrs. Bruce Kenworthy of Des Moines; a brother, Ernest Elsbury of Jacksonville, Texas; one grandson, Don Shelton, and three great granddaughters.
