MARJORIE DRISKILL, Winterset

Marjorie Driskill, 81, died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Gordon Cemetery in Winterset. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Marjorie was born April 7, 1925 to Roscoe and Hazel (Starr) Brady in Centerville, Iowa. She was an insurance underwriter for Travelers Insurance and Aetna before retiring at age 72. She belonged to the Omega Sigma Sorority and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, playing piano and literature.

Marjorie is survived by her sister, Peggy (Richard) Gifford; sons, Ronnie (Carla) and Jonnie (Rosalee) Driskill; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Roscoe; and grandson, Matthew Driskill.
