Obituary

Daisy L. Harmon, daughter of George and Servetta Newell Harmon, was born January 13, 1880 at Avoca, Iowa, and passed away Monday, October 5, 1964, at 3:00 a.m. in the Wilden hospital in Des Moines.

She was the fourth child of seven children. One sister, Cora Belle, preceded her in death several years ago, also three brothers, Arthur, Frank and Albert. Another sister, Mrs. Mary Hollister, of Eugene, Oregon passed away August 24.

On February 26, 1902, she was married to Arthur L. Fairholm. They went to housekeeping in Massena, Iowa. She was a good wife, mother and friend. She loved her husband, children and home. She was happy when her children came home and they could all be together.

Her husband passed away January 9, 1957. A little son Harry passed away May 11, 1911 at the age of two.

She leaves to cherish her memory: R. Mayburn Fairholm, Denver, Iowa; Merritt L. Fairholm and Don Harmon Fairholm, both of Waterloo; Mrs. Gertrude Schlotz, her daughter Wandalois of Des Moines, who have made their home with her and Arthur Duane Fairholm of Earlham, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She joined Eastern Stars in October 1927. Since moving to Earlham she has been unable to attend lodge on account of sickness.

She joined the Christian church when she was 13 years old at Audubon, Iowa, and has lived the Christian faith ever since.
