Mrs. J. W. Carman, of Hanley, brought the remains of her aged mother, Grandma McNamer (who died in Nebraska on last Friday) to Hanley on Sunday, at which place a funeral sermon was delivered in the Methodist church by Rev. Hancox, of St. Charles.

The burial took place in the cemetery at this place in the afternoon. A large assemblage of sympathizing friends attended. This aged lady had been a great sufferer for several years and it was only surprising that she existed so long. She had been at the Carman home for a long time but recently went to the home of another daughter, where she finally passed away.
