H. D. Bean, for many years a resident of St. Charles, died at the home of his daughter in Seward, Nebraska, on the 22d inst., after a brief and painful illness. He was in his eighty-seventh year, had enjoyed good health and lived quietly and blamelessly during his entire life. Two sons and six daughters live to cherish the memory of a noble father.
