Pg 4Suicide at Des Moines.
Henry Leutzenger, a farmer who resided near Patterson with a wife and three children, committed suicide at Des Moines last Monday by throwing himself in front of a moving train on the Northwestern with the result that his head was severed from his body. It was some time before he was identified, as the only paper on his person was a note bearing these words: “No money, no friends; bury me.” Mr. Leutzenger and family moved to Madison county recently and bought a little farm near Patterson, paying $250.00 cash on it. They have resided there every since. He was a sufferer from cancer of the stomach and evidently went to Des Moines for the purpose of committing suicide. He was buried at Pleasantville, where he formerly resided.
