Mrs. Delia Daniel, one of the oldest residents of Scott township, died January 30 at her home five miles southeast of town at the advanced age of 81. Since the year 1853 she has lived at the family home in Scott township. She leaves six sons and daughters, all of whom, except one son who lives in Dakota, were present at the funeral, which was held yesterday at Zion church, conducted by Rev. A. Jacobs of the Winterset Baptist church. Mrs. Daniel had been ill for five or six weeks previous to her death.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
