The death of David Fisher, of Barney, an old resident of that part of the county, took place August 14. Mr. Fisher was 67 years of age, and was the father of several grown-up children, among whom is Mrs. Col. Godfrey, of Des Moines.

We are sorry to chronicle the death of Mr. David Fisher. He had been as well as usual owing to his condition up till 1 o’clock Sunday night, when his wife heard him breathing unusually hard, went to his bedside, but he was no more.

Mr. Fisher was a good man and a good neighbor. His sudden death causes a gloom over the entire community.

The funeral occurred Wednesday at 2 o’clock. The body was interred in the Barney cemetery.
