Macksburg - George Washington Haymond was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 3, 1826, died Aug. 18, 1899, aged 73 years, 6 months and 15 days. He was married April 14, 1853, to Catherine Doak.

The funeral services were conducted at the home, northeast of this place, by Rev. D. Martin, and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery south of town. He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss.
