ADRIAN ACOSTA, ANKENY

Luis Adrian Acosta, 17, of Ankeny died Aug. 24, 2008, of an accidental drowning at Saylorville Lake.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 5720 Urbandale Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be from 4–8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at the Ankeny Funeral Home, with family present from 6–8 p.m.

Adrian Acosta was born Dec. 15, 1990, and was a senior at Ankeny High School this year. He also was the lead guitar player in his band, Twisted Youth.

He is survived by his mother, Darla (Todd) Trindle of Winterset; his father, Luis (Nancy) Acosta of Ankeny; a sister, Maria Regalado of Des Moines; a stepbrother, James Trindle of Winterset; two stepsisters, Joanne Albertsen of New York, N.Y., and Amelia Albertsen of Honolulu, Hawaii; his grandparents, M.E. Gene and Donna Pritchard of Winterset and Salvador Acosta of Jalisco, Mexico; and his great-grandmother, Lowene Pritchard of Red Bluff, Calif.

LUIS ADRIAN ACOSTA, Ankeny

Adrian Acosta, 17, of Ankeny died Sunday, August 24, 2008 of an accidental drowning at Saylorville Lake.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (5720 Urbandale Ave. Des Moines, IA). Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 29, at Ankeny Funeral Home.

Adrian was born December 15, 1990. He was a very skilled musician and loved to play the lead guitar in his band, Twisted Youth. He also enjoyed playing baseball, skate boarding, fishing and reading. Adrian was a senior at Ankeny High School this year.

Survivors include his mother, Darla (Todd) Trindle of Winterset, IA; father, Luis (Nancy) Acosta of Ankeny, IA; sister, Maria (Roberto) Regalado and their three children of Des Moines, IA; step-brother, James Trindle of Winterset; step-sisters, Joanne Albertsen of New York, NY, and Amelia Albertsen of Honolulu, HI; godmother, Jeannie Hernandez of Des Moines, IA ; grandparents, M.E. Gene and Donna Pritchard of Winterset, IA and Salvador Acosta of Jalisco, Mexico; great-grandmother, Lowene Pritchard of Red Bluff, CA; and aunt and uncle, Roberto and Crystal of Des Moines, IA.
