LARRY HARRELL, CRESTON

Larry D. Harrell, 69, of Creston died July 29, 2008, at Greater Community Hospital in Creston.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 2, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Larry Harrell was born June 19, 1939, in Winterset to Charles and Carrie (Duff) Harrell. He was raised in Winterset, graduating from Winterset High School in 1957. Larry worked in a shipyard in Virginia, was a silk screen designer for an aircraft company in California, and upon returning to Iowa in the mid 1970s, worked as a general laborer and handyman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don Harrell and David Harrell.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Harrell of Texas and Don Harrell of California, and two brothers, Ed Harrell of Gilmore City and Howard Harrell of Winterset.
