Obituary

Earnest Oral Beaman, son of William and Ella Nelson Beaman, was born May 11, 1888 in Adair County, Iowa. He passed away May 13, 1963 at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines at the age of 75 years, 2 days.

Mr. Beaman was married to Ethel Howard in 1906 in Madison county. They became the parents of two sons, and a daughter. Mr. Beaman had been a resident of Madison county for 50 years and, at the time of his death was a retired farmer living in Madison township. He was affiliated with the Earlham Masonic lodge, and was a member of the Worthington Methodist church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Ethel, who died in 1934; a daughter; three brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his two sons Harold of Earlham, and Leonard of St. Charles; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Ellis (Goldie) Estell, Mrs. Percy (Grace) Estell, Mrs. John (Hazel) Beedle, all of Winterset, and Mrs. Cash (Merle) Crawford of Dexter.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 16, in the Winterset Methodist church. Rev. Lewis E. Lint and Rev. John C. Porath conducted the services. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
