J. S. Darnall died Thursday evening, Nov. 11th, at his home in Webster township, after an illness of seven weeks with typhoid fever. He was born in Kentucky in 1830, and moved to Indiana with his parents at the age of three years. In 1852 he was married to Harriet Funkhouse in Boone county, Indiana. To them were born six children, four sons and two daughters. Two sons and both daughters preceded him to the grave, and the other two sons reside in Montana. He moved to Madison county in 1855. The remains were buried Friday in the Hooten cemetery. Mrs. Darnall is also afflicted with typhoid fever and is seriously sick.

Pg 8Mr. John Darnell, an old settler living near the Center school house, died last Wednesday night and was buried at the Hooten cemetery Friday.
