Death from Diphtheria

Jackson township possesses a sadly afflicted family this week, that of Mr. John Armstrong. A week or more ago, diphtheria was detected in his family, and quarantine was established by the trustees of board of health. The disease attacked two, a daughter of nineteen and a son of eleven. The daughter died at about four Wednesday morning, and the son shortly before noon. The board of health made all preparation and attended to the burial. On account of the quarantine neighbors and friends could not be allowed to assist.
