Wm. Childers Dead.

The unexpected news of the death of William Childers was heralded over the city Sunday morning, and was a great surprise to almost everyone. He had been sick but a short time and was not generally known to be in a dangerous condition. The cause of death was lung fever.

The funeral was held Monday at 1 o’clock, p.m., from the residence.

Mr. Childers was a man about 45 years of age and had lived in Madison county since 1856. He was a man of good habits, quiet and unostentatious, and will be missed by many and warm friends. He leaves a wife, two children and a host of relatives to mourn his untimely death.

Wm. Childers Dead

Wm. Wm. Childers, a barber by trade, died at his home in the southeast part of the city Sunday morning. He had been sick with lung trouble several weeks.

He was an old resident of this city and has conducted a barber shop near the southeast corner of the square for many years.

He leaves a wife and several children. He was a brother of Joel Childers of this town.
