Services Thursday For Mrs. McCurdy

Mrs. Mary Stewart McCurdy, 84, died at Maple Lin Manor Tuesday morning. She had been in failing health for some time. She was an Earlham resident for many years.

Funeral services will be held at Evans Funeral Home Thursday morning, February 23, at 10:00 a.m. Services will be in charge of Rev. Milton Hendrickson. Arlene Welch will be the organist. Casket bearers are Harold Frey, Graham Godby, Dale Mills, John Henkle, Lester Patten and Robert Reynolds.

Burial will be at Belmont, Ohio where her husband is also buried.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Albin Olson.

Obituary

Mary Margaret Stewart was born in Bannock in Belmont Co., Ohio, on July 3, 1881. She died February 21, 1967 at the age of 85 years, 7 months, 18 days, at the Maple Lin Manor nursing home in Earlham.

She was married to George B. McCurdy on June 24, 1902. They made their home in Ohio until they moved to Dysart, Iowa. About the year 1924 they moved to Earlham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one infant daughter, one son Stewart, and two sisters.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and was an active member as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha, and her son-in-law, Albin Olson; also two sisters and two brothers in Ohio; one daughter-in-law, one granddaughter and two great great granddaughters of Washington State; also some nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held at the Evans Funeral Home Thursday, February 23, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Milton Hendrickson in charge. Arlene Welch provided organ music. Casket bearers were Harold Frey, Graham Godby, Dale Mills, John Henkle, Lester Patten and Robert Reynolds.

Interment was in Belmont, Ohio cemetery.
