ILLIA PALMER, WINTERSET

Illia M. Palmer, 70, of Winterset died June 19, 2008, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Illia Nase was born Jan. 14, 1938, to Walter and Martha Nase of Barnum. Her marriage to Donald W. Palmer took place Feb. 15, 1959, in Emmettsburg. A resident of Winterset since 1975, Illia had worked as a supervisor for Look Magazine. She also was one of the founders of the Madison County Farmers Market in Winterset.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Winterset; three brothers, Walter Nase of Minnesota and Lowell Nase and Robert Nase, both of Iowa; and a sister, Lois Park of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
