Sad Bereavement -

Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Foster, of Walnut, were called upon a few weeks ago to mourn the death of their two little girls, Vernia and Minnie, aged respectively five and three. Both died of membranous croup. A note from their father pays their memory this loving tribute:

“They were the favorites of the family and beloved by all who knew them. They were attached to us and each other with that inseparable love which has no end. Their separation leaves us so lonely and sad. But as they have gone in childhood’s happy hours, and before they came to the years of accountability, knowing not what sin is, so we feel glad to know they have gone to dwell with Jesus and the angels.”

Transcriber note: Girls full names were LaVerna Viola ‘Vernia’ and Arminda Ellen ‘Minnie Foster
