WILLIAM G. SCROGGS Of Patterson Dies

William G. Scroggs, who had lived at Patterson the last seven years, died at a hospital in Omaha Sunday, following surgery. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Scroggs had moved to Patterson after retiring from a job with the West Des Moines gravel company. He was on the Patterson town council and was affiliated with the Woodmen of the World.

He was a native of Pearl, Mo., where he was born July 13, 1884, a son of David and Cordelia Lowery Scroggs. He was married Oct. 27, 1903, at Springfield, Mo., to R. Jane Carroll, who survives him.

In addition to his wife; he leaves two sons, Larry and H. L. Scroggs of West Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Snater of Oakland and Mrs. Clyde Morgan of Pasadena, Calif.; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sisters, Mrs. B. F. Matlock of Springfield; and a brother, F. F. Scroggs of Clarinda.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Patterson Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. W. C. Trembly. Burial was made in Lincoln cemetery near Grimes.
