Pg 5Mortuary.—Mr. Gideon F. King died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. C. Shults, in this city last Saturday. Deceased was born in Massachusetts in 1810. He moved from Mass. to DeKalb county, Illinois, where he was married to Miss Lida Brown. The family moved to Madison county, Iowa, in 1870. He was reared a Methodist, but at the time of death was a member of the U. B. Church. For a number of years he had been in feeble health, and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Shults, who cared for him kindly.

Pg 2Mr. Gideon King, an old gentleman, whose home for a good many years had been with his daughter, Mrs. C. C. Shults, of this city, died a few days ago. We do not know his exact age, but he must have been well advanced in years.
Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
