Page 4Died.—Mrs. Jas. Likens, at her home in Patterson Tuesday of last week, of paralysis. Deceased had a stroke of paralysis while at church the Sunday previous to her death from which she never recovered.

Mrs. James Likens was taken sick while attending church on Sunday evening and died the following Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Thursday, conducted by Rev. Zyke, after which the remains were taken to Blair Chapel cemetery for burial. Several relatives from Pottawattamie county were in attendance at the funeral.

Mrs. James Likens, of Patterson, departed this life on Tuesday of last week. She was buried on Thursday in Brush Ridge cemetery, southeast of Patterson.
Mrs. Likens went to church in Patterson on Sunday night in her usual health, and as she entered a pew she fell and was taken home. She never regained consciousness until she died.
