Randy Alan, 55, died May 18, 2008. Memorial services 2 p.m. Friday, May 23 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with gathering of family and friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.

Randy Alan

A memorial service for Randy Alan, 55, of Winterset, Iowa, will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 23, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset.

Born Feb. 13, 1953, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., the son of Richard and Valeria (nee Arts) Wacynski, he died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at his home.

He was employed by GITS Manufacturing in Creston, Iowa as a global sales manager. Prior to moving to Iowa, Randy led a very full life with many friends in Arlington Heights, attending Willow Creek Church and completing 17 years with Mitsubishi Industries. Most recently, Randy attended the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Winterset, where he resided with his two dogs, Ruby and Jewel.

He is survived by his siblings, Sondra Gray of San Francisco, Calif., James Wacynski of Apache Junction, Ariz. and Nancy Grimes of Wisconsin Rapids; two nieces of Wisconsin; and longtime sweetheart, Gayle Townsend of Northville, Mich. Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.
