IVAN BERNARD CHRISTENSEN

Ivan Bernard Christensen, 77, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, May 21, 2008.

Born in Earlam, Iowa, August 26, 1930. He graduated from Truro High School. He worked as a Linesman for Mid-American Energy.

Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Irene; brothers, Chris Jr., Carroll, and Clair and his parents.

He was a member of the Audubon Society, Ducks Unlimited, and IBEW #399.

Ivan is survived by his sons, Ron (Jodi) Christensen of Urbandale, Don (Nancy) Rogers of Carlisle; daughters, Sandra Christensen of Des Moines, Pamela (John) Rouse of Adair, Marcia (Stephen) Todd of Urbandale, Pat (Terry) Lee of Carlisle; brothers, Wilbur (Beth) Christensen of Bridgewater, Iowa; sisters, Helen McKnight of New Virginia; 14 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle with Pastor Doug Raymond officiating.

Visitation 6to 8 p.m. Monday at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle with burial at the Hartford Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
