After a long and trying sickness death came to the relief of Grandma Howe Monday, July 27th. She was buried in the Ebenezer cemetery on Wednesday; funeral services conducted by Rev. Detar.

Mrs. John Howe, of Ohio township, died Monday last. She was the second wife of Mr. Howe, that being also her second marriage. She was the mother of B. S. Todhunter, of East Peru, formerly Winterset, and the step-mother of Dr. Howe, of Greenfield, and J. H. Howe, formerly of this city.
