Died.—Mrs. Marth Wright, July 14th, 1896, aged 86 years, her maiden name was Mobly. The deceased was born in North Carolina in 1811. At an early age she was united in marriage with Mr. Wright to whom were born seven children, three of whom only survive her; Nancy and William of Macksburg, and Laura Jane, of Nebraska. At an early day Mr. and Mrs. Wright emigrated to Indiana, where Mr. Wright died. The burden of care being placed on the mother, she decided to move to Iowa, and in 1854 arrived in Grand River township, where she remained to the time of her death. She joined the M. E. church in early life and lived a devoted Christian. She was a faithful wife and mother, ever hopeful and self sacrificing for the comfort of others, and has now gone to her eternal reward. Her noble example and Christian character remains a precious heritage to her children and friends she leaves behind. The funeral was held at the home of the deceased and was largely attended. The remains were interred in the cemetery south of Macksburg.

Note: Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
