DIES OF APPOPLEXY

The death of Mrs. Sarah H. Fritz, which occurred at her home on Thursday night at 11 o’clock, was one of the saddest we have ever recorded. She was stricken with apoplexy last Tuesday during the forenoon, at what hour was unknown as she was alone at the time. The oldest son at home had taken a load to Earlham, leaving his mother as well as usual early in the morning. While she had not been as strong for several months as formerly she was able to do her own housework and was as strong as most women of her age, which was sixty, her birthday occurring Sunday before her death.

When her son returned he found her lying unconscious under a tree in the yard which faced the road. Help was summoned. She was carried in and a doctor sent for, All was done that was possible, but she never recovered consciousness enough to recognize her children who came to her bedside.

The funeral occurred at Worthington at 11 o’clock Saturday.
