MARIE A. BINDEL of Norwalk Dies

Mrs. Marie A. Bindel of Norwalk, a former resident of Madison county, died last Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1970, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines. She was 61 years of age.

Mrs. Bindel was the former Marie Anna Tracy, daughter of Martin F. and Emma Reis Tracy. She was born in Adair county, Dec. 19, 1908, but moved to Madison county early in life and was a resident of this county for 28 years.

She was married to David Bindel, whose death occurred in 1961. She moved to Des Moines in 1965, and to Norwalk in 1969.

She was a member of St. Johnn's Catholic church at Cumming, and was active in the Altar and Rosary society.

Mrs. Bindel is survived by two sons, David M. Bindel of Chicago and Bernard R. Bindel of Norwalk; two daughters, Mrs. Deanna M. Essert of College Park, Md., and Mrs. Rita K. Davis of Des Moines; four brothers, Raymond E. Tracy of Peru, Martin F. Tracy of Greenfield, Thomas J. Tracy of Des Moines and Richard G. Tracy of Peru; and four sisters, Margaretta C. Tracy of Peru, Irene S. Tracy of Peru, Elma E. Tracy of Peru, and Mrs. Ida M. Miller of Norwalk.

Rosary was recited for Mrs. Bindel last Friday evening from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset and funeral services were held Saturday from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, Msgr. John W. Higgins. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
