John T. Fellows was born in Pittsfield, N. H., Jan. 19, 1852, died Sept. 20, 1912, aged 60 years, 9 months, 1 day. At the age of 19 he came to Central City, Iowa; he was married to Rosannie Bell Jan. 19, 1870. To this union were born four children; Albert Henry, of Ridgelaw, Mont; Lela Bell of Marion, Iowa; Luther and Earl died in infancy.
Besides one sister, Mrs. Mary Locke of Central City, he leaves three grandchildren, Vadena and Harold Finney and Earl Fellows.
He with his wife united with the Free Baptist church in 1878, of which he remained a member until death.
In 1903 he moved with his family to Madison county, where he resided until death.
Mr. Fellows was a kind and devoted father and husband; a neighbor who was always seeking to help those in need.
Altho a great sufferer, he was always patient through it all.
“A faithful friend from us is gone,
Unselfish heart, forever still,
There is a vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.”The body was taken to Central City for burial.
