December 5, 1973Charles Bruett Dies at 63
A life-long resident of Madison County, Charles “Bus” Bruett, died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines Sunday, December 2. He was 63.
Mr. Bruett was born in Scott Township on March 9, 1910, the son of Charles and Devona Cline Bruett. He spent his entire life in Madison County, working as a farm laborer and truck driver.
Mr. Bruett was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
He is survived by two brothers and three sisters; Otis and Clifford Bruett of Winterset; and Mary Kirby, Zola Gentry and Margaret DeVault of Winterset.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. E. E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
