AUROLA E. SEYMOUR, NORWALK

Aurola E. Seymour, 86, of Norwalk, Iowa, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk.

She was born Feb. 7, 1922, in Madison County, Iowa, to Ray and Mabel (Wright) Eyerly. She grew up in Winterset and spent half of her life living in Warren County. Aurola had been a beautician and a homemaker and was a 1939 graduate of Winterset High School. She loved to garden, sew and cook. She had been previously married to Joe Seymour, John Oldham and Eugene Holmes, all of whom preceded her in death.

Aurola is survived by her daughter, Susan (Eric) Hollen of Winterset; sons, Craig (Sally) Oldham of Johnston and David (Sally) Oldham of Winterset; grandchildren, Todd Hollen, Allison (Mark) Peterson, Andrew (Mary) Hollen, Matthew Hollen, Missy (Kon) John, Jake Oldham, Courtney Oldham, and Zachary Oldham; and great-grandchildren, Rachel Peterson, Matt Peterson, Dylan Peterson, Logan Peterson, Ava Peterson, Caleb Hollen, Jacob Hollen, Connor John, Keanan John, Chloe John, Samantha Oldham, and Jack Oldham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mabel (Wright) Eyerly; husband, Joe Seymour; brothers, Kenneth Eyerly, Harold Eyerly, and an infant brother; and sisters, Wilma Rhine, and twin sister Iola Wilson.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, April 24, from 6–8 p.m. at McCalley – Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Memorials will be directed to her family for a future designation. No services are planned as per her request.
