George Hobson Dead.

At 5:30 o’clock, a.m., Thursday, November 7, George Thomas Hobson died at the home of his parents, in this city, of consumption. He had suffered with lung trouble some time, and last summer went out west in hopes of recuperating his health, but the trip was of no avail. He was born in Madison county, March 17, 1872, and in 1888 he left the high school to engage in the printing business. He served an apprenticeship at this trade and worked at it up to the time of his last sickness, his last work being in an office in Des Moines. The funeral was held Saturday at the M. E. church in this city, Rev. Harris, assisted by Revs. Stire and Hoover in charge. The pall bearers were, Em Coon, John Biggs, Chas. Knight, Wilber Hodgson, Frank Walker and Newton Fields, all but the latter printers. George was a good young man, and his many friends will greatly miss him.
