Margaret B. Harris, beloved wife of the late Charles Harris, passed away on March 13, 2008, at Winterset Care Center North. Memorial services will be held in late May at the Baptist Church in Lorimor. Powers Funeral Home in Creston is in charge of arrangements. Margaret was born May 8, 1916, to John and Lenna Evans in rural Warren County, Iowa. She grew up in Warren County, graduating from Martensdale High School in 1934. In 1939, Margaret was married to Charles Harris in Renwick, Iowa. Margaret lived most of her adult life in Lorimor. She was baptized in the Grand River in 1946 and joined the Baptist Church at that time and was a faithful member the remainder of her life. After her children graduated from high school, she worked at Look Magazine and then for Brady Motor Freight in Des Moines. In 1999, she entered Winterset Care Center North.

She is survived by her son, John (wife Linda) Harris; her sister, Edna Taylor; her daughter-in-law, Alice; grandchildren Julie, Dianna, Allison and Ernest; as well as several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her son, Charles Michael; and her brothers, Edwin and Jack.
