Nina Myrtle Allen, daughter of Obediah and Mary Allen, was born Aug. 17, 1878 and departed this life July 27, 1920. Age 41 years and 11 months.

She grew to young womanhood in Madison Co. and was united in marriage to Chas. Stuart March 14, 1894. To this union was born five children; Clara Etna, who died in infancy, Loyd Edgar, who died Dec. 25, 1914, Lyle Clifford, who also died in infancy, Raymond Joe and Dulcy Daisy. With a loving husband and two children there are five brothers: A. A. Allen of Murray Iowa, C. A., A. L. and C. N. of Des Moines and R. E. of Lorimor Iowa and two half brothers Samuel Delong, of Baronnette, Wisc., and Glenn Allen of Indianola, Iowa, and two half sisters Gladys Allen of Peru, Iowa, and Grace James of Gunu City, Mo., and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn her death.

She was converted and united with the M. E. Church at Medford in the fall of 1914. She showed her love for her Savior by her loyalty to His cause and faith in Him to the very last. Her life was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of associating with her.

Funeral services were conducted at Medford, Monday at 10 A.M. by Rev. Gordon and W. Frank Lister. Interment was made in Elm Grove Church Cemetery west of St. Charles
