Mrs. J. A. Hale, of Union township, died at her home (the old Boyles farm) yesterday evening. The funeral services were held this afternoon at one o’clock, at the Methodist church in Winterset, after which the remains were taken to the former home of the family in Illinois for burial. They lost a small child last spring, whose remains were taken back to the same place. Verily, the hand of affliction seems to bear heavily on Mr. Hale.
