News was received last week from Wall Lake, of the death, on Sept. 14, of Bessie Bancroft Firth, of cancer of the face, after a years suffering. She leaves a husband and a 16-months old baby. She was raised in Monroe township. She was twenty three years old the day she died. She was a true Christian and bore her suffering with patience.

Died, at Wall Lake, September 14, 1895, Bessie Firth. She was born at Auderby, Lincolnshire, England, September 14, 1872. She was the youngest child of George and Sarah Bancroft. She came to America with her parents in March, 1888, and resided with them in Monroe township, Madison county. She was married to Charles Wm. Firth August 22, 1893. She leaves a husband and a little child 14 months old, also father and mother, three brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Bessie was a good and obedient child of sweet and cheerful disposition. She was converted at the age of 12 years, and united with the Wesleyan Methodist, and after coming to this country united with the Evangelical Association, of North America, of which she remained a faithful member until her death.
