Earlham and Thereabouts

J. S. Morris, an old resident of Earlham died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. Lamb, in eastern Iowa, Thursday. The remains were brought here for interment Friday afternoon, which took place after services, conducted by Rev. Roddy, of the Presbyterian church.

Earlham Echoes

J. S. Morris, who has lived in the vicinity of Earlham for about 25 years, died at his son-in-law’s, Rev. C. B. Lamb, of Thayer, last Thursday morning and was buried in the cemetery Friday afternoon. Mr. Morris was a shoemaker, but on account of a stroke of paralysis he had some years since, he has been unfit for work and lived part of last winter and spring with his son William, at Council Bluffs. From there he went to his son-in-law’s at Thayer. Mr. Morris moved to Iowa from Richmond, Indiana, about the year 1870 and was 60 years of age

Note: Burial was made in the Earlham cemetery.
