LOYD LATHRUM Dies at 62 years

Loyd E. Lathrum of Truro died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1971, at Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was 62 years of age.

Mr. Lathum was a life-long resident of the St. Charles and Truro area. He was born at St. Charles March 22, 1909, a son of Jim and Elsie Miles Lathrum. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs Elsie Lathrum of Truro; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Huston of Truro and Ms. Zola Estes of Osceola; and three brothers, Ivan Lathrum of Des Moines, Lester Lathrum of Carpenteria, Calif., and Doyle Lathrum of Ojai, Calif.

Funeral services were held last Friday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in Young cemetery at Truro.
