From Mt. Pleasant

Mrs. Michael Casey, one of Crawford’s old settlers, was buried on the first of the month. It was a sad New Year’s day to one family at least. Mrs. Casey was a good neighbor and respected by all who knew her, and her kindly visits will be missed by many of her old neighbors. She was ailing about two years.

Note: Burial was made in St. Patrick’s cemetery.
