Peru -

Mrs. Sarah McGuire, an old resident of this vicinity, died at her home in Peru Sunday morning.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon.

MRS. SARAH McGUIRE

Sarah Jane Clifton, daughter of Sylvester and Marie Clifton, was born in Appanoose county, Iowa, June 22, 1860 and died at her home in Peru, Dec. 4, 1921, aged 62 years, 5 months and 12 days.

When seven years of age her parents moved to Madison county, where she grew to womanhood and was married to John F. McGuire, Dec 18, 1881; Mr McGuire having passed away Feb. 14, 1915. She leaves to mourn her loss three brothers, three sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. It can truly be said those who knew her best loved her most.

The funeral was held at the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Shannon and the remains were laid to rest by her husband in the Ebeneezer cemetery.
