Death of WESLEY BERTHOLF

The remains of Wesley Bertholf of Dumont, Iowa, who died on Dec. 9th, 1921, were brought back for burial in Lincoln township, his birthplace.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at Blue Front church, interment following in the Clark cemetery.

Mr. Bertholf, a son of the late Alexander Bertholf, was born in 1860 and spent his early life in Lincoln townshp. He is survived by Mrs. Bertholf, one daughter, Mrs. Stella Johnson of Dumont, his stepmother and two brothers, James of Creston and Ellis E., of Madison county; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hicks of Ottawa, Kansas.

DUMONT

Mr. Wesley Bertholf, who has been very poorly most of the summer from heart trouble and dropsy, died at his home in the east part of town Friday night at the age of 62 years. He leaves his devoted wife, and one daughter, Mrs. M. E. Johnson, to mourn his demise.

After a brief service at the home late Saturday evening attended by many of his neighbors, and conducted by Rev. H. H. Barton, pastor of the M. E. church, the body was transported by C. G. W. train to Lorimor, Iowa, for burial, which took place Monday. Mrs. Bartholf, accompanied by Mr. Ed Graham, who has been caring for him the past week, went with the body.

Mr. Bertholf was a member of the Modern Woodman order, and pall bearers here were selected from among the members of this camp.
