W. L BROBST LORIMOR, DIES

Walter Lee Brobst, 54, of Lorimor, died at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston at 9:30 p.m. last Thursday. He had entered the hospital on Dec. 26. He had lived in the Lorimor community since 1952, coming there from the Pella vicinity.

Mr. Brobst was a farm worker.

His funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Watts-Lindsay funeral home at Lorimor. John Strong, pastor of the Lorimor Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Lorimor cemetery.

Walter Lee Brobst was born at Pella Aug. 1, 1923. He was the son of Everett and Mable Wright Brobst. He was married at Hiawatha, Kan., Nov. 4, 1946, to Juanita Jackson, who survives him.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Van (Joyce) Joyce of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Harry (Barbara) Maeder of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Jerry (Nancy) Richards of Creston; four sons, Tyler Brobst of Murray, David Brobst and Don Brobst of Lorimor and Dennis Brobst of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; eight sister, Mrs. Bryon (Patricia) Riggs, Mrs. Walter (Pauline) Melcher, Mrs. Ed (Violet) Anderson and Mrs. Mary Gray of Des Moines, Mrs. Bill (Betty) Lemon of Creston, Mrs. Walter (Cecelia) Pazekue (Piasecki) of NY and Josephine and Bonnie, whose married names and addresses are not known; and three brothers, Alfred Brobst in Illinois, Albert Brobst of Winterset and Arthur Brobst of Lineville. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
