MRS. J. W. LADD

Frances Jane Shultz was born in Madison county, Iowa, March 6, 1861 and died at her home seven miles northwest of Winterset, May 20, 1921 at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 14 days.

She was married to James W. Ladd on Nov. 25, 1885 and since then her home has been in Madison county.

In early life she made a religious profession and was baptized and united with the United Brethren class at the Doak school house.

She leaves to mourn her death the husband, two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. S. E. Trindle of Van Meter, Emmett Shultz of Carhago. S.D.; Mrs. H. C. Addy of Winterset and Artie Shultz of Des Moines.

Thhe funeral services were held from the Jefferson U. B. church on Sunday afternoon by Rev. Jackson Giddens of Winterset and the remains laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
