F. A. MCKELLIP

F. A. McKellip passed away at his home in Des Moines, March 10, 1921, at 9:30 p.m. after a long and severe illness.

He was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth McKellip and the youngest of a large family of brothers and sisters most of whom have preceded him. He was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, March 27, 1855 and at the time of his death was 65 years, 11 month and 11 days of age. On Oct. 30, 1878, he was united in marriage to Alice P. Boylan, and to this union were born two daughters, Mrs. E. Gertrude Taylor of Des Moines and Mrs. L. Florence Arnold of Truro.

The wife and companion having passed away Oct. 3, 1917, there are left to mourn the loss of this loved one, two daughters, one sister, two grandsons and other relatives and friends.

Loving hearts and gentle haands ministered tenderly to this loved one, but to no avail, and the death angel came near and bore the spirit gently away. And while there will be sad feelings and heavy hearts caused by this death that will be hard for human sympathy to reach, we hope the bereaved ones may be consoled through the promises of the blessed Redeemer.

The deceased united with the church in early manhood and was a believer in Christ. A kind and loving father, a true friend, an honorable and upright citizen has passed from this life to the home beyond the skies eternal in the heavens.

Funeral services were held in Des Moines, conducted by Rev. A. W. Harned, and the remains were laid to rest in the Young cemetery near Truro, by the side of his wife.
