FON R. ANDERSON

On Sunday morning, January 12, 1902, at 9:30 a.m. Mrs. A. C. Anderson, widow of the late Dr. Wm. Anderson of St. Charles died at her home in the city after a brief illness of less than one weeks duration, arising from malaria and running into typhoid.

In the evening of the same day at eight o'clock, her eldest son, Fon R. Anderson, whose illness has been noted in these items for the past two issues, passed away. His death was the direct result of pneumonia following a severe attack of malaria.

On Tuesday in the presence of an immense attendance the funeral occured. Burial in a single grave of double width, handsomely lined and tastefully decorated in evergreens is their final resting place and a new feature in the experience of the people in this vicinity. A cortege of a half mile of carriages closely following the hearses to the cemetery.

Note: Burial at St. Charles cemetery
