Alexander A. Bonham, son of David and Marancy Bonham, was born at Winterset, Iowa, August 16, 1862, and departed this life September 23, 1927, aged 65 years, one month and five days. Although he suffered intensely from impaired health, he seldom complained. He was of a genial disposition and counted his friends by the multitudes.

He was not a member of any church but took a keen interest in its upbuilding and was a believer in Christ. He made his home with his sister, Mrs. Bertha Rowe for a number of years and they were greatly devoted to each others interests. He will be missed in her home.

He leaves to mourn his departure besides a host of friends, a brother, Fred S., who with his wife, Carrie, have been very mindful in his suffering, his sister, Bertha, at whose home he passed away. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Macksburg Sunday afternoon, September 25, conducted by Rev. I. Ossman assisted by Rev. Athey and interment was made in the Moon cemetery.
